Born and raised in Southern California, Michael Thomas is a dynamic Morning Anchor and Reporter based in San Francisco. He holds a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from California State University, Los Angeles, and a master’s degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.

 

Driven by an insatiable curiosity and a natural instinct to ask the right questions, Michael always knew journalism was his calling. He currently serves as a Morning Reporter and Anchor for KRON 4 News, where he brings warmth, energy, and authenticity to early morning viewers across the Bay Area.

 

Over the years, Michael has built a strong multimedia presence through social media and a variety of news platforms. His reporting spans red carpet events, national political coverage, breaking news, crime scenes, and investigative stories across California, Chicago, and Michigan.
